According to multiple reports from Caroline Fenton of 102.5 The Game and ESPN’s Turron Davenport, Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis will not play Saturday night in Minnesota.
Levis left joint practice with the Vikings early on Thursday and was originally ruled questionable for the Titans’ second preseason bout.
With Levis out, second-year quarterback Malik Willis is expected to start and play the entire game for Tennessee. Wide receiver Mason Kinsey could be an emergency option if Willis were to go down.
The details of Levis’ injury are still unknown, but it has been labeled as a “lower body injury” according to a report from Paul Kuharsky.
Regardless, Levis is now missing invaluable time for a quarterback competing for a backup job. The former Kentucky Wildcat showed some really impressive flashes last weekend in Chicago, and building off the performance this week was going to be crucial.
Instead, Willis now has a golden opportunity to seize the day and separate himself in the QB competition.
