And once they get there, they will turn their focus to building their 16-player practice squad. A team's practice squad normally consists of both players currently on the roster and some players around the league. While the practice squad may not be of high importance to some fans, many practice squad players will be called up to the active roster and play meaningful snaps for their teams throughout the season.
