Exhibit A: Lawrence drops the ball in the bucket, giving enough room for Zay Jones to make a play, but far away enough from the defender to where he can't disrupt the pass- and that's exactly what happened.
Earlier in the game, Lawrence connected with new Jaguars receiver Calvin Ridley on a beautiful play, where he rolled left to escape a collapsing pocket, and fired a bullet to a wide-open Calvin Ridley for six.
Following Ridley's touchdown, he turned a 10-yard curl route into a 31 yard gain, after running away from three Colts defenders.
Ridley finished the first half with seven receptions for 92 yards, and one touchdown- a career high first half for him.
As for Zay Jones, he's picking up right where he left off last season. Jones was second in both receiving yards and touchdowns for the Jags in 2022. He's continuing to prove himself as a reliable target for Trevor Lawrence in 2023.
