In one of the more eventful games of Week 2, the Pittsburgh Steelers won 26-22 vs. the Cleveland Browns.
There are many storylines brewing from this game on all fronts, but some stood out more than others.
Here are my instant takeaways from Steelers-Browns on Monday Night:
All-Day T.J.
T.J. Watt needed just one sack to pass James Harrison as the all-time sack leader in franchise history, something he accomplished only six quarters into the 2023 season.
Pickens Get's Going:
With Diontae Johnson down for the foreseeable future, there is an enhanced amount of pressure placed on Pickens young shoulders, but he proved more than capable tonight.
Pickett Is Still Off
As you can see by the timestamp on the video, this was early in the game but unfortunately, we have an eight-quarter or two-game sample size and Pickett continues to be inconsistent in his accuracy and even worse with his decision-making. Win or lose, if he wants to stick in Pittsburgh, things will need to get better from Pickett, and fast.
The Run Defense Misses Cam Heyward
A play that also sent one of Pittsburgh's best defenders out of the game, back to back weeks and back to back explosive runs aginst two of the better-rushing offenses in the league. Football is a team game, but no Cam Heyward is hurting early in the season.
The Leagues Best Pass Rushing Duo Shows Out
On the night when T.J. Watt broke one of the most meaningful records in franchise history, he and his counterpart Alex Highsmith wreaked havoc on Cleevand's tackles all night, and putting tackles around the league on notice.
Steelers Pro Bowl defender ruled out vs. Browns
See the latest on the All-Pro that now will miss the rest of Monday’s contest.
