NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans grew their Nissan Stadium winning streak to four with a win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and the NFL Draft order shifted significantly.

At 4-7, the Titans' season is the dangling tooth that just won't fall out. Technically, mathematically, the playoffs are still a possibility. NFL history shows teams that start 4-7 have a 3.3% chance of making the postseason.

Let's look at how Week 12's results across the league impacted the every changing 2024 NFL Draft order.

2024 NFL Draft Order (As of 11/27/23)

1. Chicago Bears (via CAR: 1-10)

2. Arizona Cardinals: 2-10

3. New England Patriots: 2-9

4. Chicago Bears: 3-8

5. Washington Commanders: 4-8

6. New York Giants: 4-8

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 4-7

8. New York Jets: 4-7

9. Los Angeles Chargers: 4-7

10. Tennessee Titans: 4-7

11. Las Vegas: 5-7

12. New Orleans Saints: 5-6

13. Green Bay Packers: 5-6

14. Los Angeles Rams: 5-6

As of now, the Titans are slated to pick tenth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Tennessee's win over Carolina on Sunday, plus the Chargers, Jets, and Bucs all losing this weekend dropped the Titans four spots from sixth overall the previous week. The Giants getting their fourth win of the season was a positive for the Titans.

The Titans' remaining strength of schedule doesn't get much easier. Tennessee still has another game against the first place Jacksonville Jaguars, two games against the much improved Houston Texans, a date with the Miami Dolphins on the road for Monday Night Football, and one matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

The AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts (6-5) head to Nashville in Week 13. This could be the last time the Titans are favored in a game this season. I wouldn't be stunned if this team finished 5-12 at this point and landed a top 6-8 pick in the draft.

How DeAndre Hopkins is helping Will Levis improve

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans (4-7) needed a win on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers (1-10) . Veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins helping rookie quarterback Will Levis shorten the learning curve en route to victory is the kind of progress one can see in real time. Tennessee did just that in Week 12, sending Carolina […]
