Trash talk is as much a part of the NFL is as is tackling.
But like many instances in life, your actions better speak louder than words on the field.
Steelers rookie offensive lineman Broderick Jones just learned as much, with Bills veteran DT Ed Oliver putting him on blast:

In fairness to Jones, the Steelers still touched triple digits on the ground, recording 106 rushing yards despite spotting the Bills 21 points and turning the ball over more than usual.
Even still, Jones should know from his time at Georiga that players will hold your own words against you, especially if your give them even an inch of motivation, turning that into a mile of bulletin board material.
But if I was Jones, I wouldn't even be sweating Oliver's comments. Your talking about a rookie who played out of position for most of the year and excelled in his first set of live action against the best athletes in the league.
So Jones will have to take medicine following a playoffs loss, but something tells me he'll have the last laugh in the long run.
