NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans have the 7th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and have a good number of directions they could go with their selection.
Tennessee has a huge need for an offensive tackle, but could also use another weapon to catch passes from quarterback Will Levis.
Apparently Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers wants that weapon to be him and has the Titans as his preferred landing spot.
While in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, former NFL quarterback and co-host of Pro Football Talk Live Chris Simms says he spoke to Bowers about where he wants to go in the 2024 NFL Draft. “Usually players are tight-lipped on this question. But we asked Brock Bowers who he wants to play for: ‘Titans,’” Simms wrote on Twitter.
It’s an interesting move from Bowers. As Simms said, most draft prospects choose not to show their hands and like to keep their options open leading up to draft day.
In three season at Georgia, Bowers recored 175 catches, 2,538 receiving yards, and 31 all-purpose touchdowns. He won the John Mackey Award for being the nation's best tight end in each of the last two seasons.
