Perhaps it was a bit quiet on Saturday until the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos decided to make some noise.

The Browns are set to acquire WR Jerry Jeudy from the Broncos for a fifth and sixth-round draft pick in the NFL Draft. Cleveland receives a good player while the Broncos add draft picks for the direction they are heading.

For the Browns, this means adding a talented wideout for Deshaun Watson and the offense that you tried to make a run at last trade deadline. Jeudy will join a wide receiver room that currently consists of Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, David Bell, and Cedric Tillman.

Jeudy is due $12.9 million in 2024 and is set to be a free agent after the season. It’ll the fifth-year of his contract after being a first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2020. Cleveland and their new wideout could look to get a new deal done since it is expiring, or they may deal with that next offseason and he will have a chance to be a free agent.

In four seasons, Jeudy has 3,053 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Last season he had 756 yards in 16 games and his best season was 2022 with 972 yards and six touchdowns.

Cleveland makes a big move ahead of free agency that could change how they attack things. General manager Andrew Berry has never been shy with making splash trades and here’s another.
