The Detroit Lions are rewarding a guy that stuck in there for years. Everyone remembers watching the heart breaking moment of Dan Skipper getting cut on Hard Knocks. They probably remember the locker room chanting his name after he started a game at guard that same season and played well. Last year that continued when Skipper got the shot and because of that, Skipper is back with the Lions again.

Skipper might be remembered outside of Detroit for the horrible reporting gaffe by NFL officials against the Cowboys, but he's a guy that Lions fans absolutely love and gave WWE like pops from the crowd every time he took the field.

Skipper is a Lions guy all the way. He shows a lot of grit and is a blue collar guy. He's expected to play that same role in 2024 as a depth piece on the Lions offensive line. Maybe this year Jared Goff can get him that reception that he was trying for this season.
