The official trailer for the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game was released on Friday morning and the Tennessee Vols are featured in the video.
But not in the way they should be.
Tennessee isn't featured prominently, but the trailer shows a clip of a Vols player in the checkboard end zones in Neyland Stadium. It also shows a clip of Tennessee's mascot, smokey, in Neyland Stadium.
Here are the two shots of Tennessee in the trailer.
EA Sports missed a huge opportunity to showcase some of the Vols' iconic traditions.
The beginning of the trailer shows several teams either running out of the locker room, or their entrance onto the field, and Tennessee, somehow, wasn't included in that part of the clip.
EA Sports could've included the Vols slapping the "I will give my all for Tennessee" sign as they exit the locker room. Or they could've included the Vols running through the T as they enter the field at Neyland. But instead, they chose to show a quick clip of a nameless player and the mascot.
Quite a miss by EA Sports.
