The NFL's 'Rivalries' uniform is the latest initiative to help diversify the look and feel of each of the league's teams. It's an exciting new development for a number of teams who have maybe been stagnant with their kits. And, for the most part, this initiative has also been a mystery.
There's been a slow trickle of leaks and teases about the direction of some of the teams but there's not really been a lot of "on the record" reveals. But there's now some light at the end of the tunnel. And, for the Miami Dolphins, we now have a tease for the theme and also an opponent they'll be worn against.
Dolphins release teaser for their 2025 NFL 'Rivalries' uniforms
The Dolphins announced that they will officially be wearing these uniforms in the team's Monday Night Football showdown against the New York Jets in Week 4 of the 2025 season. The official reveal is now set for August 28th for all of the Rivalries uniforms across the league.
Minus the Dolphins' throwback uniforms that get trotted out once or twice a year, the team has been committed to the most current version of the kit for over a decade now, so seeing a new re-imagination for Miami's uniforms will be a fun twist on a high-stakes season in Miami.
The team's release does appear to tease a couple of different themes. Between "embrace the pressure", which could be a nod to the deep ocean and dark colors, an alternative color-theme for Miami's primary logo, and what appears to be a color transition happening towards the end of the teaser, there appears to be a narrowing number of directions that the Dolphins' Rivalry uniform could go.
We, thankfully, won't have to wait much longer to find out. And the wait to see them in action isn't an overly long wait in comparison to some of the other uniforms across the league, either.
