Pete Carroll has been showing a different side of him at training camp that fans don't get to see often when the cameras are on

When the Las Vegas Raiders hired former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll to be the new head coach of their new regime, the first thing that everyone thought about was the idea of having a winning culture back with the Silver and Black.
And that is definitely the most important part of it all. However, I'd argue that some of the other things that he brings, that aren't being talked about as much, are also super important.
Carroll is one of the best players and coaches there is. You can ask anyone who played for him before, who doesn't have to lie about him in the moment because it's his current coach, and they will tell you that Carroll is one of the best dudes you can ever have in your entire life as a coach. And, he's a role model.
Some of you may remember this, especially for the USC portion of the fan base, Carroll used to drive to one of the most dangerous streets in Los Angeles when he was the head coach at USC, and would go around 1 AM and talk to young adults and teenagers who struggle with street life, whether it be drugs, gang violence, and other things. He would go with no security, no friends, anything.
That's the kind of guy Carroll is.
But, he also has a very goofy vibe to himself. And, while you think you see that often, which we do, there is a whole other level to it when the cameras are off, or at least he thinks the cameras are off.
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll shows off his dance moves at training camp
The Raiders just started their training camp, and actually have opened it up to fans on a few of those days.
Earlier this week, there was a video recorded by Taylor Rocha of Carroll dancing at practice during training camp. Sure, it's not some crazy dance movement, but the guy is 73, and let's be fair here, he doesn't ever dance.
So, these dance moves, as little as they were, are still a pretty big deal.
But in all seriousness, this is one of the many, many reasons that Carroll is as loved as he is by players and other coaches who have worked under him. And, having that relationship with those two entities is why he is as successful as he is, with a Super Bowl win over the Denver Broncos, a trip, but a loss to the New England Patriots dynasty. And hopefully, he does similar things with the Raiders.
Las Vegas Raiders are set to make NFL history in 2025 with Pete Carroll and 2024 hasn’t even ended yet
The Raiders don’t seem to care.
