The Indianapolis Colts’ 2025 draft class has multiple players that the team is planning on having an instant impact during their rookie season.
A significant milestone for rookies entering the NFL is receiving their first-ever EA Sports Madden rating, something many of them dreamed of when they were kids playing the popular video game. EA Sports released all of the 2025 rookie class’s ratings for the upcoming game, and sadly the Colts did not have a player ranked in the top 10 of the class.
Colts 2025 rookies’ offical EA Sports’ Madden 26 rating
- 1st round pick: Tyler Warren, TE – 75 overall
- 2nd round pick: JT Tuimoloau, Edge – 74 overall
- 3rd round pick: Justin Walley, CB – 71 overall
- 4th round pick: Jalen Travis, OT – 68 overall
- 5th round pick: DJ Giddens, RB – 71 overall
- 6th round pick: Riley Leonard, QB – 65 overall
- 6th round pick: Tim Smith, DT – 67 overall
- 7th round pick: Hunter Wohler, S – 65 overall
The Colts draft class is led by Warren, the 14th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft class. While he didn’t hear his name till 14, many around the NFL viewed Warren as a top 10, and to some even a top five prospect in the class. He came is as the top rated TE at 75, but is tied for the 25th highest rated rookie. If someone has an argument for how Warren could come in so low feel free to let me know because I have no idea.
After Warren here is how the others in the class ranked among rookies at their position:
- Tuimoloau, DE – 8th
- Walley, CB – Tied for 15th
- DJ Giddens, RB – Tied for 15th
- Travis, OT – 11th
- Smith, DT – Tied for 25th
- Wohler, S – Tied for 20th
- Leonard, QB – Tied for 7th
It’s not about where you start, but where you finish, so now that the Colts rookies know how disrespected their initial Madden rating is, hopefully they use it as motivation to prove them wrong this season. Colts rookies that I think will see a massive jump from their initial rating to the end of the season would be Warren, Walley, and Giddens. Warren and Walley have already started training camp off strong, and Giddens is line to be the primary backup behind Jonathan Taylor and could end up creating quite the duo with the Colts star RB.

Colts defender with starting experience leaves practice on a cart, but thankfully seems to have avoided a season ending injury
You never like to see a cart brought out after a player goes down with an injury. That was the case for the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, though, when they saw a young defender taken off the field on a cart after suffering an injury during a training camp practice. Colts CB Jaylon Jones suffers […]
