The Las Vegas Raiders have never been able to put a playoff contending team, or championship contending team that is capable of winning multiple playoff games in a season, around Maxx Crosby.

Yes, you can point to the year they lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the postseason, and the other lone playoff appearance, but they haven’t been blue to win a postseason game in over 20 years. So, no, they haven’t had a team who can compete in the postseason since Crosby has been with the Raiders.

And, as we all know, that’s all the guy wants, is to win.

The Raiders have a chance to put that caliber of roster around him. There are two superstar players in the league right now that are both requesting trades in wide receiver Terry McLaurin and edge rusher Micah Parsons.

And, trading for one of them would certainly make this team more of a team ready to compete for a championship, or at least the playoffs.

Raiders could trade for Micah Parsons, but Christian Wilkins is holding them back

According to Bovada Sportsbook, the Las Vegas Raiders have the best odds to land versatile defender, and superstar Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys, with +500 odds, just ahead of the Cleveland Browns at +600.

Now, odds don’t always mean everything, or anything, but it does say that people have their eyes on the Raiders to make a move due to having one of the best situations. They have the money, especially if the Christian Wilkins void ends up going in their favor.

However, with just $38 million in cap space for this year, it does make things a bit difficult. Parsons cap hit for the 2024 season is $24 million, which then leaves the Raiders with very little cap space, not to mention, the cap hit the Raiders then take into future seasons with his new contract that he is bound to get, considering 2026 is a free agent season for him unless he gets an extension.

Parsons would work so well with Crosby, and it would easy make the best pass rush duo in the entire league. Or, since Koonce is obviously really good and looking back to normal, the Raiders could even move Parsons to linebacker. There are so many things they could do with the Cowboys defender.

But, the Wilkins situation is a minor roadblock that isn’t impossible to get over, but it could make things difficult.
