We are officially counting down toward the first Minnesota Vikings preseason game, as it’s on Saturday, August 9th, against the Houston Texans.

There are a lot of interesting things to look for in the preseason for the Vikings. Will J.J. McCarthy play during the preseason? Who gets the starter treatment when it comes to playing time? Who will begin to separate themselves from the pack to earn a roster spot?

Ahead of the first preseason game, the Vikings will release their first “unofficial” depth chart, so we decided to predict what that will look like.
