Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has quickly emerged as a fan favorite for his team. For good reason- Nix outplayed expectations and truly impressed head coach Sean Payton last season. Now, with a pivotal offseason nearly behind him, Nix is providing his fans and the NFL world with an inside view of what it’s like to have his job.

Broncos QB Bo Nix starts YouTube channel

Nix has started documenting his road through being an NFL starting quarterback. For Broncos fans, this is a really unique way to watch him improve, learn, and develop as a pro. Not many quarterbacks are into giving an inside look like this one from the young signal-caller.

His lone video, attached above, documents his offseason training. He is getting in shape and preparing for a sophomore season in the NFL where expectations for him have certainly climbed since the start of his rookie campaign for Denver.

It will be intriguing to see how much behind-the-scenes we see from Nix as the season goes on. Do we get a training camp episode? How about the preseason? Does a playoff push provide a unique opportunity for content? Only time will tell.

Improvements for Bo Nix in year two

I discussed Nix’s trajectory and potential with Justin Churchill, A to Z’s own. He’s spent some time covering the Broncos in recent seasons and understands the ways that the young QB’s game needs to elevate if Sean Payton’s unit wants to take the next step this season.

Going into year two, Bo Nix has to take a step. He could play the same exact way he did last season, and there is still a chance that this team loses in the first round of the postseason. They are much better on paper this year than they were last year, yes, but Nix still has to take a jump if they want to be the team that is controlling the AFC West.

To do that, Nix has to work on some things. Most of it is just his IQ for the game and the offense. He needs to master that offense, much like Drew Brees did, while also picking up on keys and cues that the defense is giving him. Nix’s processing needs to improve, as well as just being consistent front game to game. If that’s better, the Broncos are one of the best team in the entire NFL. — Justin Churchill, A to Z Sports

I’m excited to see how Nix fares in year two. The start of his season last year was bumpy, but he steered the ship back to clearer waters rather quickly alongside Payton’s tutelage. With some new faces on the offense, taking another step forward could be the difference in some playoff success for the Broncos this season.
