Josh Allen makes a major change just days before the team’s first preseason matchup and we absolutely love it
Once again, the talented MVP QB Josh Allen has gone viral. I’ll never get sick of typing MVP QB, it’s just so much fun. Buffalo has one of the very best QBs in the entire NFL, and it’s because of his abilities both on and off the football field. If you tuned in and watched […]
Once again, the talented MVP QB Josh Allen has gone viral. I’ll never get sick of typing MVP QB, it’s just so much fun. Buffalo has one of the very best QBs in the entire NFL, and it’s because of his abilities both on and off the football field.
If you tuned in and watched the first episode of Hard Knocks, in seconds Allen was on the screen, and I swear even from Colorado I could hear the faint sounds of Bills Mafia cheering from here.
When you have a franchise QB who just won MVP and in the same offseason married a superhero, it was no wonder the larger-than-life player was featured so heavily in the premiere episode.
Josh Allen shows up to camp and instantly goes viral
Allen was able to one-up his performance on Hard Knocks with a viral camp moment that has the internet in a chokehold right now. If you aren’t a member of the Bills Mafia, you may not understand just how much this fanbase loves their QB.
The fanbase, myself included, loses it with just a simple smile and a thumbs up from the QB before a “Go Bills.” With that, it’s no surprise that Allen donning a brand new look would get the Mafia riled up.
We’re sure that with camera crews around, we’ll get a little bit of an inside look behind the decision on Hard Knocks. However, the Buffalo Bills’ social media team released a video in which Allen had already decided with Elijah Moore, pumping up the fanbase even more.
Moore began, “Heard you’re doing the stache like everyone else?” to which the superstar MVP responded, “I’m going to, are you going to?” Continuing in a hilarious back-and-forth. Moore countered, “If I cut my beard in two weeks, I will. If you still have it, then I will.”
Moore was brought on this past offseason to add another weapon for Allen, and the two have been building chemistry over the past few weeks. When Moore was announced in Buffalo, the Bills Mafia was fired up.
Josh Allen comes through on a major promise
Building that chemistry is of the utmost importance, so they’re both on the same page once gametime rolls around. Allen, being an excellent person, came through on a promise to Moore, “I’ll do it for you. I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it.” Moore pushed back, “But you got a nice beard, bro. You gotta grow it like how I got it.”
Laughing it off, the Buffalo Bills QB put everything into perspective for Moore, “I don’t know if I can get it that long. This is about 29 years.”
Surely, if you’ve been a fan of the team, you know of the viral image of the Bills QB a few years ago donning a similar look, and it elicited about the same response.
Since Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane have taken over, culture has been such an important factor. When you come to Buffalo, you become the best version of yourself.
While this may seem just like some silly back and forth between a QB and his WR, it’s much more than that. These moments, no matter how small they seem, are a much bigger representation of the closeness that this unit has.
I am all for the mustache. What do you think, Bills Mafia?
