Josh Allen reacts with hilarious two-word answer after spotting incredible stadium addition tailored for him
If QB1 loves it, we will too. While we’re sad to say goodbye to Highmark Stadium, we can’t wait to see what the team does in their new home.
The Buffalo Bills have had one of the very best teams in the entire NFL over the past few seasons, and they’re about to have a brand new home. This is the last season the Bills will play in Highmark Stadium, and there’s a lot of emotion in the farewell.
Surprisingly, just a few short weeks ago, the team announced that they would be bringing back the red helmets for the final game at Highmark this season, sending the fanbase into a frenzy.
Over the past few months, Bills Mafia has been receiving consistent updates on the estimated $2.1 billion stadium being built just a stone’s throw away from the team’s current stadium. From huge buffalo standing outside, to some special considerations built with Josh Allen and company in mind, it’s an exciting time to be a Bills fan.
On the premiere episode of Hard Knocks, the fanbase got a behind-the-scenes look at some of the construction. It also had one of my favorite Josh Allen moments with the Bills Mafia, check it out. With Josh Allen following around Bills owner Terry Pegula, the QB got an intimate look at one of the coolest features built into the stadium that is sure to impact him on gamedays.
With Allen standing in the middle of the construction, Pegula explained, “As far as the wind goes. All the sides have been done. Like, we protected more on the southwest side, which is the prevailing wind direction, and then we have the perferations setup. Because if we didn’t do that, when the wind went over the stadium, it would get sucked into the stadium and swirl. So we scienced that out.”
The QB just had 2 hilarious words to offer, and we couldn’t agree more, “heck yeah.”
If you’re from Buffalo, you know how insane the winters can be. Feet of snow, below freezing temperatures, and a whole lot of wind. While it makes for great-looking football, ideally, if you have a franchise quarterback being paid hundreds of millions of dollars, you’re going to want the best conditions possible for him. That’s why the update was made even more exciting.
Bills Mafia had been told time and time again that the wind wouldn’t play a factor, despite the stadium having a canopy designed with an innovative snow melt system while also covering 60-70% of the seating area. Still, the fanbase was a little more than concerned after experiencing those harsh winters themselves.
Time will tell if the wind truly will play a factor, but for right now, this seems like a huge win. If QB1 is happy, we’re happy.
