Seminoles making playing surface change before playing Alabama
We have all seen some of the sneak peaks of the renovations done at Doak Campbell Stadium – it looks so much better now than it did before. The seating, while it is black, looks amazing. there are new light fixtures everywhere with new designs and themes in the concourse, and better suites.
There are so many things that fans will see when they enter the stadium in August 30. But one thing that they may not notice is that the Seminoles are putting in a new playing surface.
According to Warchant.com, the knew “lay and play” field is set to cost around $300 thousand, and will be ready to play on almost immediately, while most new surfaces take some time to get rooted into the stadium.
This could cause some slipping, and really just a different surface than what Alabama may be preparing for, or even used to. You really doin’t know, honestly. Or, this could be absolutely nothing, which is more likely the case. But, something like this – as big of a change as this one is, is certainly worth mentioning.
At least the Doak is going to look beautiful.
