Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman made his third trade of the day on Sunday, August 24, sending Darian Kinnard to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“A hat trick of trades today for the Eagles: Philadelphia now is acquiring a 2027 sixth-round pick from the Green Bay Packers in exchange for offensive tackle Darian Kennard, per sources. It is the third Eagles trade today, and the second involving an OT. The Eagles also traded for OT Fred Johnson, then traded Kinnard, who already is a three-time Super-Bowl champion at age 25,” Schefter wrote on X/Twitter.

It is worth noting that while Kinnard has three Super Bowl rings, he didn’t play in any of them.

I originally didn’t have Kinnard not making the 53-man roster, but that’s because I picked Kendall Lamm and Matt Pryor over him, who appeared to be getting more reps during training camp.

But now it’s clear that the Eagles weren’t too high on Kinnard if they were willing to let him go to Green Bay. However, he wasn’t necessarily needed since the Eagles brought back Fred Johnson via trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

So I look at it as an automatic win for the Birds, who picked up a sixth-round pick in exchange for a player that they could have cut if they wanted to.
