Former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Omari Thomas learned his roster fate with the New Orleans Saints on Monday afternoon.

Thomas was signed by the Saints as an undrafted free agent shortly after the 2025 NFL Draft.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter (and other reports), Thomas was among the Saints’ roster cuts on Monday (each NFL team has to reduce their roster to 53 by Tuesday afternoon).

Thomas, who served as a key team leader for the Volunteers, totaled 116 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and five sacks during his five seasons at Tennessee.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Thomas land on the Saints’ practice squad.
