Saints make bold decision that’ll directly change how they look in season opener against Cardinals
Fans get a new look from New Orleans.
The New Orleans Saints have officially entered game week! They’ll suit up for their season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The team has decided to give fans a brand new vision on the field to start the campaign, too.
Saints will wear new gold jersey in Week 1
The Saints will wear their new gold alternate jerseys to kick off Kellen Moore’s first season at the helm. The jersey will be worn with black pants. The gold jerseys are called “Gameday Golds” – via the Saints.
The gold top wasn’t the only uniform aspect added to the rotation for New Orleans this season, either. They also have a new white helmet that they will dawn at times this season, but it won’t be in Week 1.
In total, the Saints will have a wide variety of attire to work with in 2025: Their usual home and road black and white uniforms (with solid white pants, solid black pants and their usual gold pants featuring a wide, black stripe available to mix and match), plus two alternate looks that incorporate white and black helmets. — NFL.com
Black helmets accompany the gold jerseys
It looks like New Orleans will wear their alternate black helmet from last season with the gold jerseys. The helmet did not have a positive reception from fans last season, but it does look better with the gold jersey – as opposed to the white set that it was worn with a season ago.
It remains to be seen how other weeks shake out, but the Saints are wasting no time showing off a new set. They clearly want to prove that it is a new era in New Orleans under Moore. They’re sending that message to begin this season.
