Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed something very specific about Taylor Swift’s outfit in a recent photo she took with Brittany Mahomes while celebrating Mahomes’ birthday.
At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards in February, Swift attended in a red sparkly dress that many thought was a tribute to the Kansas City Chiefs, who were about to play in Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles. But there was one aspect of the outfit that people thought was a specific tribute to Travis Kelce. On her thigh, Swift had a red charm with the letter T on it.
And in the photo with Mahomes, Swift was wearing the same T charm, but this time as a necklace.
Apparently, wearing the ring Kelce recently gave her wasn’t enough! She needed one extra thing to show how much she loves the Chiefs’ tight end.
Brittany Mahomes Posted After Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Engagement
After Swift’s post, confirming the news of her engagement, Brittany Mahomes couldn’t hide her excitement. The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to Instagram, reposting the photos on her Instagram story with a sweet note.
“Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two ??,” she wrote.
Brittany and Taylor have become very close friends, often seen sitting together at Kansas City Chiefs games throughout the season. Brittany’s husband and Taylor’s soon-to-be-husband are both best friends, so it only makes sense that Brittany has become a part of Taylor’s squad.
The star couple announced the big news on Tuesday, Aug. 26, with Swift sharing numerous photos of them in a beautiful garden with flowers all around them on Instagram.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married ?,” Swift captioned the post.
