Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is at it again.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday night that the Birds are acquiring running back Tank Bigsby from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Trade: Jaguars are sending RB Tank Bigsby to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for 2026 fifth- and sixth-round picks, per sources,” Schefter wrote on X/Twitter.

The trade comes after the backup running back Will Shipley suffered a rib injury in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles’ wanting to add real running back help could mean Shipley will be missing time.

A former third-round pick of the Jaguars in the 2023 NFL Draft, Bigsby rushed 168 times for 766 yards and seven touchdowns last fall. Through two seasons and 34 games so far, Bigsby has logged a total of 223 carries for 910 yards and nine touchdowns, along with eight receptions for 60 yards.

Eagles’ Latest Roster Moves

The Eagles were busy on Monday.

In more roster moves, the team signed outside linebacker Patrick Johnson to the active roster. They also inked running back Montrell Johnson and offensive lineman Hollin Pierce to the practice squad. In a corresponding move, the Eagles released wide receiver Elijah Cooks from the practice squad.

It’s worth mentioning that the Eagles still need to make another roster move to make room for Bigsby.

The Eagles are preparing to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of the Super Bowl this upcoming Sunday.
