Prediction
The win over Louisiana-Monroe was nice, but Wisconsin is the type of opponent Alabama has struggled with at times under DeBoer. Those non-top-25 teams who have enough talent to beat you if you don’t take them seriously enough, but at the same time, no one is really giving much of a chance going in. We saw it against Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Michigan and, this year, Florida State.
Obviously, South Carolina and possibly Florida State are much better than how they were viewed going in, but you get what I mean. Alabama has to learn to take every opponent seriously. Treat all of them the same, and that includes Wisconsin. Do the Badgers have issues? Sure, but that doesn’t mean they won’t cause problems if the Tide elects to handle business. I’m guessing they’re going to do just that though.
The fact that Alabama has a home crowd at its back should help, as four of those five games above were away from Bryant-Denny. We still don’t know if defensive lineman Tim Keenan or running back Jam Miller will make their season debuts this weekend, so that makes things a little more difficult to predict, but I still believe this team has untapped potential, and this weekend is a great opportunity to show the rest of the country. The Tide rolls.
