Kansas City Chiefs star defensive lineman Chris Jones made a cute attempt to throw shade at Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in Sunday’s Super Bowl LIX rematch.

And it completely backfired.

“You didn’t even have 100 yards,” Jones said with the Eagles lined up in victory formation to seal a 20-17 win.

“We won the f***** game. Shut your ass up,” Hurts replied.

While Hurts did only have 101 passing yards after completing 15 of his 22 pass attempts, it was still enough to win the game, and that’s what football ultimately comes down to.

It’s Time to Stop Throwing Shade at Jalen Hurts

Haters love to throw shade at Jalen Hurts, but it gets old when he has shown time and time again that he knows how to win, even if he sometimes doesn’t light up the stat sheet.

Sirianni made it clear that he’s fed up with the “nitpicking” when it comes to Hurts being discussed among the best.

“You know, I think Jalen Hurts is one of the best deep throwers in the NFL. I think he’s shown that. I don’t think people talk about that enough,” Sirianni said. “You know, go back to last year and all those fourth downs that went vertical, whether that was in the Browns game in a four minute, or whether that was in the Giants game on the fourth down, or the Super Bowl on the fourth down that ended up coming back like

“There’s all this nitpicking on Jalen, but no one talks about that like he’s unbelievable at throwing the deep ball, which ends up helping us set up other things underneath. And so it’s just great connection, communication, just that one that they have together, you know, the receivers and Jalen.”

Sure, the criticism of Hurts isn’t going away anytime soon, but he’s already shown that winning is his only priority.
