Former Vols QB Hendon Hooker shows support for Boo Carter
Carter unexpectedly became the center of media attention — and not in a good way — just before Tennessee started fall practice.
The Chattanooga native missed some team activities during the summer, which didn’t sit well with some of his teammates.

Former Volunteers quarterback Hendon Hooker took to Instagram after Tennessee’s win against UAB to show some support for Carter.
“Boo Carter really like that,” wrote Hooker on his Instagram story, along with a photo of Carter.

Hooker never played with Carter at Tennessee, but the former Vols quarterback is obviously still close to the program.
There’s been a lot of concern early this season about Carter and his standing with the team. But the enthusiastic reaction from Tennessee’s locker room when Carter received a game ball, combined with Hooker’s social media post, should quell those concerns.
And that’s great for the Vols — Carter is a player that can help Tennessee win some big games this season.
