Bengals Injury Report: Cincinnati receives good news with two recent injuries while defensive starter goes limited
Cincinnati’s first injury report for Week 4 is a mixed bag.
For the first time this season, the Cincinnati Bengals have started a week of practice on Thursday. An extra day of rest was baked into their schedule with a Monday night clash against the Denver Broncos on tap for them.
There are a handful of injuries to report from Cincinnati’s first practice of Week 4. Let’s take a look at where things stand on the latest injury report:
Bengals Thursday injury report
| Player | Injury | T/F/S | Designation |
| TE Noah Fant | Concussion | DNP | – |
| HB Samaje Perine | Finger | Full | – |
| RG Dalton Risner | Calf | Full | – |
| DE Shemar Stewart | Ankle | DNP | – |
| CB Cam Taylor-Britt | Hamstring | Limited | – |
Observations
- Tight end Noah Fant suffered a concussion during last Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings and is in the concussion protocol. He needs to practice at some point before he’s cleared to play again. That could happen later this week, but his game status for Monday should be in doubt until then.
- Running back Samaje Perine (finger) and right guard Dalton Risner (calf) also suffered their respective injuries in Minnesota, but each practiced fully Thursday. Before practice started, head coach Zac Taylor wouldn’t say if Risner will start this week. Risner has started the last two games after Lucas Patrick suffered a calf injury of his own.
- Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt (hamstring) was a game-time decision last week but didn’t play. It’s a good sign for him to be practicing, even if he’s just limited, to start this week.
