Dolphins’ quest for a first win in Week 4 takes a nightmare turn as Tyreek Hill is carted off with leg injury
Tyreek Hill was carted off with a leg injury against the New York Jets early in the second half.
The Miami Dolphins‘ quest for a first win of the 2025 season is off to a promising start in Week 4 against the New York Jets but things have taken a sudden turn for the worse. Miami, leading 10-3 at half time and fresh off of a third forced turnover of the game on the opening kickoff of the final 30 minutes, converted a fresh set of downs courtesy of a Tua Tagovailoa completion to wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
It’s a routine event in Miami Dolphins football games since 2022. But this time, something went horribly awry. Hill, as he tried to plant his leg along the sideline with a defender draped on his back, saw his leg bend awkwardly and he went down in a heap.
Hill was subsequently carted off with his left leg stabilized.

Hill’s saga with Miami this offseason was a rocky one — he and the Dolphins had to invest significant time repairing their relationship after a disruptive ending to the 2024 season. Hill appeared to be off to a productive start in 2025, even if he wasn’t his typical explosive self. He was having a tremendous night against the Jets, too.
His night is presumably over with six receptions for 67 yards on the night. Miami would go on to score to take a 17-3 lead in the immediate aftermath of his exit from the game.
