Country music star goes viral for playing Rocky Top in front of a bunch of Tennessee Vols fans
Tennessee Vols fans got to hear Rocky Top from one of the biggest young country music stars in the business. Vols fans packed into Thompson-Boling Arena for a fun concert on Thursday night.
Tennessee Vols fans got to see one of country music’s brightest young stars belt out Rocky Top in Thompson-Boling Arena this week.
Country music singer Zach Top was in Knoxville on Thursday night for a concert, and he made sure Rocky Top was on the set list.
Pretty solid version from the Washington native.
Zach Top briefly went to college at Colorado
Top, who grew up in western Washington, briefly went to college at Colorado.
According to American Songwriter, Top went to Colorado to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. Top, however, dropped out after just one year to pursue a career in music.
I’d say that move worked out — playing in front of a packed house at Thompson-Boling Arena is certainly a sign of success.
Maybe that experience will lead Top to adopt the Vols as his favorite team (instead of Colorado).
