Chiefs injury report: One player returns to practice on Thursday as Kansas City remains in fantastic overall health
One step closer to the Week 7 showdown against the Raiders.
The Kansas City Chiefs had nearly perfect attendance during practice once again on Thursday.
It is rare for a team to be as healthy as Kansas City is this deep into the season. After the struggles it had last year with injuries, it’s refreshing to see. The Las Vegas Raiders are dealing with a couple of key injuries within their offense. Let’s take a look at each team’s latest injury report heading into Sunday’s matchup.
Chiefs’ Thursday injury report
| Player | Injury | W/TH |
| OT Josh Simmons | Not injury related- Personal | DNP/DNP |
| RB Brashard Smith | Illness | DNP/FP |
| WR Xavier Worthy | Shoulder/Ankle | FP/FP |
| WR Hollywood Brown | Achilles | FP/FP |
| WR Nikko Remigio | Thumb | FP/FP |
| DL Charles Omenihu | Ankle | FP/FP |
| OT Jawaan Taylor | Knee | FP/FP |
| WR Rashee Rice | Not injury related- (Other) | FP/FP |
| DT Jerry Tillery | Elbow | —/FP |
Observations:
- Simmons has still not returned to practice, making it seem more likely than not that he will miss his second consecutive game. If that’s the case, Jaylon Moore will get the start in his place once again.
- Smith practiced on Thursday after missing Wednesday with an illness. As long as he doesn’t have a setback, Smith should be good to go on Sunday.
- Tillery was added to the injury report on Thursday, but practiced in full. He should be fine barring a setback.
Raiders’ Thursday injury report
| Player | Injury | W/TH |
| TE Brock Bowers | Knee | DNP/DNP |
| WR Jakobi Meyers | Knee/Toe | DNP/DNP |
| WR Justin Shorter | Ankle | —/DNP |
| WR Alex Bachman | Ankle | —/LP |
| RB Dylan Laube | Illness | DNP/LP |
Observations:
- Things aren’t looking great for Bowers or Meyers, as they each missed practice for the second day in a row. It would be a major blow to the Raiders’ offense if they both miss Sunday’s game. Bowers did not play last week, and Meyers could soon be traded.
- In another blow to Las Vegas’ WR corps, Shorter missed Thursday’s practice with an ankle injury.
