Miami Hurricanes set to get an up-close shot at making sales pitch to 2027 five-star recruit
The Hurricanes will get their shot at five-star recruit Kemon Spell, the number one RB in the class of 2027.
The Miami Hurricanes will get a chance at making an impression on one of the elite players in the 2027 class next month.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports/Rivals, the Canes will be hosting five-star RB Kemon Spell for a visit on November 8. The Hurricanes host the Syracuse Orange that day.
2027 five-star RB Kemon Spell visiting Miami for November 8 game vs. Syracuse
Spell is as about as high of a recruit as there is in the 2027 class. He’s the #7 overall player, the #1 running back, and the #1 player in the state of Pennsylvania according to On3/Rivals’ industry rankings. He holds offers from basically every notable program out there.
Spell plays for McKeesport High School (McKeesport, PA) and was previously a Penn State commitment. He pulled that commitment back and reopened his recruitment after the university fired James Franklin after a 22-21 home loss to Northwestern and a 3-3 start to the season.
The visit to Miami is one of five that Spell has scheduled. He visited Notre Dame last weekend against USC, and the Irish appear to be the leader in the clubhouse at this point, per On3/Rivals. He is scheduled to go to Syracuse on October 31 to see them face North Carolina. After Miami, Spell will attend a number of big games for marquee programs to finish out his schedule of visits. He’ll be at Georgia vs. Texas in Athens on November 15, Oregon vs. USC in Eugene on November 22, and Michigan vs. Ohio State in Ann Arbor on November 29.
We’ll see if Miami can give Spell something to think about when they get him on campus in a few weeks.
