‘I think they can win by a touchdown or more’ – Former Georgia QB Aaron Murray predicts winner of the Tennessee vs Oklahoma game
The Tennessee Vols will host the Oklahoma Sooners this weekend in an absolutely massive showdown.
The Tennessee Vols and the Oklahoma Sooners will meet in Knoxville this weekend in an extremely important game.
This matchup between the Vols and the Sooners is essentially a College Football Playoff elimination game.
Whichever team loses will have three losses and will likely be eliminated from the playoff conversation. The winner, meanwhile, will keep their playoff hopes alive (though winning out will still be necessary for whichever team wins this game).
Former Georgia QB Aaron Murray predicts the winner of Tennessee vs Oklahoma
Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray made his prediction for the Tennessee vs Oklahoma matchup, and he has the Vols coming out on top.
“I just think Tennessee’s offense is elite right now,” said Murray on the Mac and Murray CFB Show. “I think Joey’s playing at a high level, [and the] receivers, [and the] running game. I like Oklahoma’s defense, but I still think in today’s game, when it’s kind of equal, you lean toward the offense. Then I flip over to the other side, and I just think Oklahoma’s offense is just so bad — no answers and a quarterback that’s kind of going down. I think Tennessee wins this game. And I don’t know what the spread is, but I think they can win by a touchdown or more.”
Interestingly, former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy, who played in the same era as Murray, has Oklahoma beating Tennessee this weekend.
We’ll see which former SEC quarterback nailed their prediction on Saturday night when Tennessee and Oklahoma face off in Neyland Stadium.
