The Las Vegas Raiders’ offense has been one of the worst in football. There are so many things to point out why, but one of the biggest has to be the focal point of the offense, tight end Brock Bowers, being injured and then out for the last few weeks. At least when he was injured and playing, the offense still looked better than when he was hurt.

Now, they could get a massive boost to their offense with the best tight end in football back.

“I’m closer now and ready to roll,” Bowers told reporters on Wednesday.

Raiders needed Brock Bowers back to potentially save their season from being a complete failure

In order to make this season one that’s somewhat successful, the Raiders need to win games. I know that a playoff spot for this team is extremely unlikely, and I know that fans will want to lose more to get a better draft back, but they shouldn’t. This team needs to practice winning. They need to win as much as possible so that when they put together a good staff and a good roster, it won’t be foreign or new to them.

Adding Brock Bowers back helps them get closer to winning again, because, man, they are so much better with him.

“Thrilled to have him back,” head coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Wednesday.

According to Sports Info Solutions, the Raiders have a passing EPA of 0.05 when Bowers is on the field, and a passing EPA of -0.17, which is not great. That’s a significant boost to the passing game, to say the least. The Raiders need to improve their offense this season if they want to have any chance at improving as a team overall.

Not only that, but let’s face it, the Raiders have been nearly unwatchable in a few of their games this season. Having Bowers back certainly gives fans something to look forward to with him and Ashton Jeanty providing a future elite one-two punch. The Raiders will play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
