One specific part of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement announcement almost became Dictionary.com’s Word of the Year
Her impact is insane!
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement announcement certainly took the world by storm, as the two revealed the news in an emotional Instagram post. And the impact that the short caption had was truly highlighted on Wednesday, when Dictionary.com revealed its word of the year.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married ?,” Swift captioned the post, with the dynamite emoji representing the couple’s initials. And it’s extra special as the singer wears a bracelet with TNT on it to celebrate her love story with the tight end.
So, while the dynamite emoji (TNT) wasn’t named the word of the year, it did get a shoutout as it was on the shortlist.
And fans were loving it!
“the tnt emoji being on the shortlist for word of the year just bc taylor used it on her engagement announcement. her impact should be studied,” a fan commented.

So, after he got into the end zone, Kelce’s celebration included a sweet tribute to Taylor Swift.
In the singer’s music video for her hit song “The Fate of Ophelia,” from her new album The Life of a Showgirl, she does a dance that has sparked a trend on social media, with fans joining in on the fun. And of course, eagle-eyed Swifties spotted some moves in Kelce’s celebratory dance that certainly seemed familiar.
One fan even stitched part of the music video alongside Kelce dancing.
