The Tennessee Vols are set at quarterback for the next few seasons with 2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre already on the roster and 2026 five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon on the way to Rocky Top next fall.

Quarterback recruiting in the SEC, however, never really stops.

So it won’t be a surprise that the Vols already have their eye on an elite 2027 quarterback.

2027 4-star QB Blake Roskopf will visit Tennessee this weekend

According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, 2027 four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf will be in Knoxville on Saturday night for Tennessee’s “dark mode” game against the Oklahoma Sooners.

Roskopf, 6-foot-5/235 lbs from Goodyear, AZ, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 12 quarterback in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Arizona.

“The Vols are on Roskopf’s short list — he’s focusing heavily on the SEC schools while the Sooners have also increased their pursuit of him, but Tennessee has made Roskopf a major priority this fall,” wrote Loy.

Here’s the recent scouting report on Roskopf from 247Sports’ Greg Biggins.

“Arm talent really pops off the screen, big arm and the ball jumps out of his hand. Shows off easy velocity, can get the ball down the field with little wasted motion. Pure pocket guy but shows the ability to escape pressure and is comfortable throwing outside the pocket as well. Can get the ball out quick from different arm angles and is comfortable changing speeds as well. Throws with anticipation and looks to have a good feel for going through his progressions and throwing his receivers open.”

Tennessee currently has just two players committed to its 2027 recruiting class.
