Bengals vs. Bears Inactives: Joe Flacco’s nonexistent warmup receives clarity, Trey Hendrickson’s status revealed
Here are theWeek 9 inactives for Cincinnati.
The Cincinnati Bengals are getting ready for kickoff against the Chicago Bears. Before the game begins, each team has released their inactive players list.
Here are the Bengals players who will not play against the Bears:
- WR Jermaine Burton
- QB Sean Clifford
- TE Cam Grandy
- DE Trey Hendrickson
- G Dalton Risner
- LB Logan Wilson
- CB Marco Wilson
Joe Flacco active and starting despite being absent for warmups
Flacco only practiced once this week, but he’s active and will start. He suffered his injury during last week’s loss to the New York Jets, but didn’t miss any snaps.
Flacco was not seen throwing during warmups prior to the inactives list being revealed. Jake Browning and Clifford were handling throwing duties instead. The likely explanation is the team wants Flacco to preserve and rest his throwing shoulder as much as possible before kickoff.
Trey Hendrickson out with hip injury
Hendrickson was listed as doubtful for this week. He missed all three days of practice after re-aggravating his hip injury he originally suffered back in Week 6. He’ll now get an extra week of rest with the bye week starting Monday.
Without Hendrickson in the lineup, Shemar Stewart and Myles Murphy will get plenty of playing time alongside Joseph Ossai. Cam Sample and Cedric Johnson, whom was recently activated to the 53-man roster, round out the group of defensive ends.
