The Tennessee Vols are in serious danger of losing an important 2026 four-star commit.

2026 four-star athlete Legend Bey has been committed to Tennessee since late June.

Bey, 5-11, 175 pounds, from Forney, TX, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 24 athlete in the nation and the No. 47 player in the state of Texas.

The Tennessee commit was in Columbus this past weekend for the Ohio State Buckeyes’ win over the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Legend Bey says Ohio State is a ‘huge factor’ in his recruitment

For now, Bey is still committed to the Vols, but it sounds like the Buckeyes have a legitimate chance to flip him.

“Ohio State is in consideration,” said Bey to On3. “They have an amazing plan for me and want me to play as a freshman….Ohio State is a huge factor in my recruitment. They have QB and wildcat packages for me and want to develop me! Not only does this visit have me considering them, but I love my relationships with the coaching staff.”

The report from On3 notes that Bey isn’t expected to take anymore visits before the early signing period begins in December.

We’ll see where this recruiting battle goes over the next few weeks, but it looks like it’s far from a certainty that Bey will be part of Tennessee’s 2026 signing class.
