The Los Angeles Rams are off to a great start to the season at 7-2. The excellent play of QB Matthew Stafford has played a large role in their success. The 37-year-old arguably looks like he is playing the best football of his career. And it’s led to him getting some deserved recognition from our team here at A to Z Sports.

Matthew Stafford voted the A to Z Sports midseason MVP

Stafford was voted the NFL’s midseason MVP by a panel of voters here at A to Z Sports. Of the four panelists, he received two first-place votes, one second, and one third. This made him the clear winner of the award over other top contenders, New England Patriots QB Drake Maye and Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor.

If Stafford continues this level of play the rest of the season, he will have a great shot at winning his first MVP award. The team is certainly in a position to contend for a Super Bowl, which I’m sure he cares even more about than potentially becoming the NFL MVP.

Stafford leads the NFL with 25 touchdowns, five more than second place. He is fourth in the league with 2,427 yards, and the only QBs ahead of him have played an extra game. The veteran QB is leading a Rams offense that has had plenty of bumps in the road, but thanks to the outstanding play of their QB, they have been able to withstand injuries and struggles from other key players.
