Sunday afternoon is going to be a big game for the Minnesota Vikings, as they take on the Chicago Bears.

All eyes will be on quarterback J.J. McCarthy, as this will be the first time he’s playing a team for the second time in his career. In that first start, McCarthy torched the secondary for two passing and one rushing touchdown in a 27-24 win.

The Bears are riding high at 6-3 and tied for first place in the NFC North. Getting a win on Sunday will go a long way for both their playoff chase and potentially winning the division.

The final injury report is out and it will go a long way in determining the winner on Sunday.

Observations

  • Greenard’s absence from the game is going to be huge for the Vikings. That will put a lot of pressure on Dallas Turner to step up.
  • McCarthy took a step forward on Thursday and isn’t on the final injury report. He will be a full go on Sunday like was expected.
  • No Kelly this week after having his practice window activated, but getting him back out there at all is a good sign.

Observations

  • All of the Bears’ big weapons on offense are set to play on Sunday, making it a full arsenal for quarterback Caleb Williams.
  • The biggest surprise was the late addition of Johnson. He’s been out with a groin injury, and just had his practice window activated. Making him questionable means that he can work out pregame. There is a chance that he plays, but it’s unlikely.
