The Tennessee Vols are trying to swipe a 2026 football commit from the Alabama Crimson Tide
The Tennessee Vols could be on the verge of swiping a commit from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Tennessee Vols are working to flip 2026 three-star defensive lineman JJ Finch from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Finch, 6-foot-3/260 lbs from Indianapolis, IN, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 63 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Indiana.
The three-star recruit has been committed to Alabama since June.
JJ Finch is still communicating with the Tennessee Vols
Despite his commitment to Alabama, Finch is communicating with Tennessee’s coaching staff.
Finch told On3 this week that Tennessee is still in the mix, partly because the Vols’ scheme fits him “very well”.
The Indiana native also told On3 that, for now, Tennessee is just slightly below Alabama in his recruitment.
Finch took an official visit to Tennessee in June. He returned to Knoxville on November 1 for the Vols’ game against the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Vols are running out of time to flip the talented defensive lineman. We’ll see if Tennessee’s coaching staff can close the deal over the next couple of weeks (the early signing period begins on December 3).
