Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel drops telling quote about Boo Carter after win against New Mexico State
Tennessee Vols defensive back Boo Carter wasn’t active on Saturday against New Mexico State.
Tennessee Vols sophomore defensive back Boo Carter didn’t play on Saturday against New Mexico State.
Football Scoop’s John Brice reported on Saturday morning that Carter is dealing with a hip flexor injury.
Vols head coach Josh Heupel was asked about Carter’s status following Tennessee’s win over New Mexico State.
“At the end of the day, there’s a standard that you gotta to meet to be in that locker room,” said Heupel. “So, he was not out on the field with us. That will be my last response to anything related to that for right now.”
Carter missed numerous team activities during the summer, which put his status with the team in question. The Chattanooga native played zero defensive snaps in Tennessee’s loss to Oklahoma earlier this month, though he still returned punts.
