The Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts have released their second injury reports for Week 12 ahead of their matchup at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

While two injured Chiefs players made progress in practice from Wednesday to Thursday, one player took a step backward in his recovery as he seeks to return to action. The Colts also made a concerning addition to their injury report on Thursday.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the latest injury report for both teams.

Observations

  • Isiah Pacheco was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, but listed as limited in practice on Thursday. Chiefs RB coach Todd Pinkston hinted this might be the case for Pacheco on Thursday during his media availability. He continues to wear a heavy brace on his knee during practice.
  • Chiefs LG Kingsley Suamataia, working as a limited participant in practice on Thursday, suggests he continues to advance in the NFL’s return-to-participation protocols following a concussion. So long as he continues to show no symptoms of a concussion after the latest practice, he’s tracking to play.
  • Xavier Worthy, being limited on Thursday with an ankle injury, seems like a natural progression for him. He’s got that tough-as-nails attitude about him, but I expect the Chiefs want to be cautious with an injury that has been nagging him all season.

Observations

  • Colts QB Daniel Jones was listed as a limited participant in practice with a calf injury. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Colts are “being cautious.” Riley Leonard is the backup QB behind Jones, if he were unable to play on Sunday.
  • Former Chiefs CB Charvarius Ward (concussion), who was just designated to return from injured reserve, was a full participant in practice for the second consecutive day. He’s tracking to return to action.
  • Tyquan Lewis saw his status upgraded to limited participation on Thursday.
