With time winding down in the Swamp on Saturday night, it looked like two streaks were about to end.
But Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel made sure that one important streak stayed alive.
Tennessee ended their losing streak in Gainesville, beating Florida 31-11 for their first win in the Swamp since 2003.
Vols quarterback Joey Aguilar also kept his streak of 200-yard passing games alive.
Aguilar was sitting on 189 passing yards as the Vols were running out the clock late in the fourth quarter.
With two minutes remaining in the game, Heupel dialed up a pass play, which resulted in a 15-yard completion from Aguilar to tight end Ethan Davis.
Aguilar finished the game with 204 passing yards. He’s now gone over 200 passing yards in each of his 35 FBS starts.
It didn’t have an impact on the outcome of the game, but it was still an awesome move by Heupel and the offensive staff.
