Tennessee Vols quarterback Joey Aguilar has only been a Vol for six months, but you wouldn’t have been able to tell that on Saturday night in the Swamp.

Aguilar looked like he’s been bleeding orange since birth while joyfully doing the Gator chomp to celebrate the Vols’ win over Florida.

After the game, Aguilar was asked about doing the chomp and whether it was something he had preplanned.

Aguilar offered a perfect response.

“I think that’s just something mandatory,” said Aguilar. “If you win here, you’ve got to.”

Aguilar also enjoyed another great tradition — directing the band after a big Tennessee win.

“It was awesome,” said Aguilar of leading the band. “I felt like I was in drum line, the leader. He asked me if I wanted to do it. I didn’t know what I was doing. He just told me to follow the guy next to me and I did. It was pretty cool. It was fun.”

Aguilar cemented himself in Vols history by leading Tennessee to a win over Florida in Gainesville.
