Bills are going to be severly undermanned against the Steelers as devastating update hits Josh Allen ahead of Week 13 matchup
Not the update fans were hoping to hear ahead of Week 13.
The Buffalo Bills are going to be severely undermanned for the upcoming contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s not all bad news, as the team might be getting back tight end Dalton Kincaid and cornerback Maxwell Hairston in time for the contest. But the good news ends there.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news that the Bills have ruled out both starting tackles in Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown. In the loss against the Houston Texans, quarterback Josh Allen was sacked eight times and is now without some of his key protection up front in a must-win game against another stout defense.
It’s not only that, as linebacker Terrel Bernard and wide receiver Curtis Samuel have both been ruled out of the matchup, leaving Buffalo shorthanded on both offense and defense.
The hits keep on coming for Buffalo
It seems like the Buffalo Bills can’t catch a break when it comes to the injury front. There were over a dozen names that popped up throughout the week leading up to the Steelers game, with Allen even appearing early in the week while dealing with general soreness.
Expect players like Ryan Van Demark and Tylan Grable to slot in as replacements for Brown and Dawkins, with linebacker Shaq Thompson and newly-acquired wide receiver Brandin Cooks to get some extra playing time, potentially, on Sunday.
With Samuel being out and the team releasing fellow wide receiver Elijah Moore, we can expect to see Keon Coleman back in the lineup after missing the past few weeks stemming from some disciplinary action.
Once again, Buffalo is going to rest on the next-man-up type mentality to power through a must-win game with massive playoff implications on the line. It’s not the update fans were hoping to hear ahead of kickoff, and now all that’s left to do is wait to see if more players will be ruled out before Sunday. The injuries continue to mount, but the mission doesn’t Buffalo has no choice but to push through adversity and find a way to escape Pittsburgh with a win.
