Eagles-Raiders headlines

Jalen Hurts needs a bounce back: The Eagles quarterback had five turnovers, including four interceptions, against the Chargers. The last interception ended the game and sealed Philly’s fate. The Eagles need him to take care of the ball, but they also have to find ways to pass the ball effectively. Sirianni had more impact on the preparation for that unit last week alongside Kevin Patullo, but it was tough to see much of a difference when it came to play-calling.

Run defense will be tested: Ashton Jeanty, while limited at times in production, is an uber-talented rookie running back for Vegas, and the Eagles cannot allow him to wear them down on the ground. Rather, they have to game plan to slow him down and force the Raiders passing game to beat them. That’s not been a successful recipe for Las Vegas so far.

QB speculation for Vegas: Geno Smith is nursing an injury, and Kenny Pickett made some impressive throws once he replaced him this past weekend. It remains to be seen who will get the nod for the silver and black. The Eagles will have to prep for either Raiders quarterback.
