Eagles WR Devonta Smith makes important reveal about QB Jalen Hurts following his primetime struggle vs. Chargers
The Eagles quarterback isn’t phased by his rough game at all.
The loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14 will certainly haunt Philadelphia Eagles for some time. That being said, a key component to their team is looking ahead and making sure that he doesn’t get stuck in the past right now. The Eagles are trying to end a three-game losing skid, so that’s good news. You cannot look behind you when the goal is still ahead of you in the NFL.
Jalen Hurts is treating this week like normal after tough Chargers loss
Devonta Smith talked to the media on Friday, and he made it clear that his quarterback isn’t focused on his five-turnover performance on Monday night versus Los Angeles.
He challenged football fans and media alike in an appreciative way for his QB. Smith said, “You tell me someone you know that doesn’t have games like that,” regarding Hurts’ struggles on Monday night.
The talented wideout has always had Hurts’ back when it comes to pressure from anyone. Smith doesn’t waver in the belief he has that Hurts is the best option for Philly’s offense, and he has normally been proven right more often than wrong so far in their pro careers.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie remains confident in the team’s offense, too. He doesn’t see the current inefficiencies as a long-term issue, and he believes they will figure it all out ahead of a postseason run, hopefully. That’s notable – as he has seen plenty of winning during his tenure with the team recently.

Hurts is a massive piece of the pie when it comes to getting back on track. We’ll see if he can prove the doubters wrong and both his playmaker and team owner correct in the process as this season unwinds.
