A former Tennessee Vols wide receiver is reportedly entering the NCAA transfer portal for a second time.

According to On3’s Pete Nakos, former Volunteers wide receiver Chas Nimrod is planning to enter the portal when it opens on Jan. 2.

Chas Nimrod spent three seasons with the Tennessee Vols

Nimrod, a former three-star from Bentonville, AR, spent the first three seasons of his college career at Tennessee before transferring to USF for the 2025 season.

The Arkansas native caught 29 passes for 315 yards and one touchdown during his time at Tennessee.

Nimrod enjoyed the most productive season of his career at USF in 2025, catching 23 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns while playing under former Vols offensive coordinator Alex Golesh (Nimrod and Golesh were together at Tennessee in 2022).

Auburn is a program that could make sense for Nimrod as Golesh was recently named the head coach of the Tigers.

Interestingly, Auburn comes to Neyland Stadium next season on Oct. 3.
