The Seattle Seahawks entered their game against the Carolina Panthers a bit banged up, as key players like offensive lineman Charles Cross and defensive back Coby Bryant were sidelined. Ultimately, it wouldn’t matter, as they still got the win. However, it could have helped make it a bit easier had those two been available.

But now the Seahawks have two more key players to worry about with injuries.

Seahawks WRs Rashid Shaheed and Cody White leave the game with injuries

Pro Bowl receiver and returner Rashid Shaheed exited with a concussion, in a situation that really didn’t look that great, as the result of a tackle out of bounds after a reception, which led him to get checked out. Obviously, there aren’t any injury situations that look good.

However, if Shaheed can’t go next week, the Seahawks could struggle a bit with explosive plays that Shaheed usually makes. They’ll be playing their division rival, the San Francisco 49ers, who’ve been great this year.

As for receiver Cody White, he left the game with a groin injury after almost blocking a punt. White’s been great on special teams this season and will be missed when he misses time, as it sounds like he will.

“We’ll see,” head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters after the 27-10 win over the Panthers. “It’s probably going to be some time with Cody.”

The Seahawks will need both of those guys in the postseason. The Seahawks will get a bye in the first round of the playoffs, giving them an extra week to rest and get healthy. That’s one more reason their match against the 49ers next week is so important.

Surely, this next week, Macdonald will give updates on the two players throughout the week, along with the other two players who missed this game.
